How to track subscription renewals and free trials

Track a subscription by saving its next renewal or trial-end date and choosing an earlier date to decide whether to keep, change, or cancel it. DueRadar can email reminders for signed-in accounts. You complete any cancellation with the subscription provider and verify that it succeeded.

  1. 1. Find the next charge and cancellation cutoff

Read the provider’s billing page and cancellation terms. If cancellation must happen before the billing date, use that earlier action cutoff as the deadline. Record the service name and a link to its account settings. Do not save payment-card details or account passwords in notes.

  2. 2. Choose when to make the decision

Set a preparation date before the cutoff so you have time to review usage and compare the available plans. Choose email reminder lead times, and enable follow-ups only if you want them. In the guest planner, saving a plan does not enable email reminders.

  3. 3. Record the outcome and next date

After changing or canceling the plan, check the provider’s confirmation and mark the item handled. For a subscription you keep, update the next date or use an appropriate recurrence. Check the provider again if its billing schedule changes; DueRadar does not synchronize billing accounts.

Will a reminder cancel a free trial for me?

No. A reminder prompts you to act. DueRadar does not cancel subscriptions, stop charges, or contact the provider on your behalf.
